Balearia

Transpac 52 Class Rule

More than 20 almost identical boats on an intrepid starting line, a few meters away.

The crew moans, hiking, by straightening the ship at every tactical engagement.

The situation on board is one of silence and attention. Only the sound of the wind and the sea can be heard, along with the roar of the ropes as they drop.

Delicious banquet nights, the crews together enjoyed so many fascinating days of racing. In them, we have the opportunity to meet and discuss battles.

Immortalizing moments like these encounters with my most admired and recognized Paul Cayard.

Later I had the opportunity to stay some more weeks assisting my father in the Siemens Sailing Team, they kept us busy within the Medcup TP52 regatta circuit.

Balearia Racing crew, Medcup Castellón 2006.

I fondly remember the training on the TP52 Siemens. The legendary Ian Walker gave me the wheel and I ended up

skippering the prototype and its crew!

During the Medcup TP52 Trophy in Castellón, part of the Balearia crew belonged. The highest competition in life.

Up to 18 boats took the buoys in 1 minute.

Long sterns planned at full speed, defending the clean wind and starboard.

On deck, smooth ballet stunts, the crew dances. At the rate provided by the tactician, the sails are changed again.

The goal cannon shot sounds, the occasion deserves it. Hugs and applause among the crew.

Ready for the next leg everyone on board. Today she plays a cane and two or three more we are going to sail today.
